What to Expect When Visiting Our Clinic During the COVID-19 Pandemic
- A staff member will call you before your appointment for pre-screening questions
- Only patients with an appointment will be allowed in the clinic, other than guardians
- You must wear a mask throughout the clinic, unless you are in the operatory
- Upon arrival, you will be greeted, asked to use hand sanitizers, and guided to our temporary reception area with social distancing measures in place
- You will then need to read the COVID-19 screening questions carefully and sign the form
- Your temperature will be taken prior to your dental appointment
- Our assistant or hygienist will guide you to our operatories
- We have placed glass doors to close our operatories and control aerosols which are generated while having a dental procedure
- You will be required to rinse with a 1.5% hydrogen-peroxide-containing mouth rinse
- We have added industrial air purifiers with hepa-filters to our operatories which help eliminate 99.9% of generated aerosols
- Dental clinics have one of the highest standards of infection control already in place, however, we have added sanitization of all common areas after each patient to help prevent the spread of COVID-19
